In March of 2021 the Pollinator Pathway Stamford started a campaign to raise funds to add native trees for four of Stamford's city parks. Within a month over 60 donors contributed reaching the $4000 goal; these contributions were then matched by Sustainable CT yielding $8000 for trees. With the assistance of City Parks Department the first of the trees will be planted tomorrow April 22, 2021 Earth Day (between 8-11AM) in Lione Park. Members of the Boys and Girls Club, 347 Stillwater Ave., have stepped up to water the trees over the coming months. Tomorrow at 4:30 PM the first boys and girls will be watering the trees for the first time.
